Just look at the view

It turns out –

that if there’s anything better than stashing wooden trains inside a fire engine (which is where he keeps all his special things) it’s discovering that full-sized ones exist.

It also turns out –

that crouching down to watch things from a two-foot-tall perspective expands the world you can see, rather than diminishing it. An afternoon on a railway bridge and picking up sticks on the way home, coupled with an evening of cookie cutters and sprinkles, made for the very best Monday I’ve had in a while.

(We found two cookie cutters inside the fire engine once he’d gone to bed, so we assume he liked it too.)
